Women’s Health Care Classic raises funds for women’s programs at local Corewell Health hospitals

Must read

The Women’s Health Care Classic, a two-course event held June 2, raised more than $275,000 to benefit women’s health care services at Corewell Health hospitals in Dearborn, Taylor, Trenton and Wayne. There was a women’s only tournament at Dearborn Country Club and a mixed tournament (men and women) at TPC Michigan.

Funds raised from this event help to finance more than 80 women’s services from advanced medical equipment to scholarships for uninsured and underinsured women so they may receive breast care services. Specific support is given for transportation to and from appointments, wigs & head coverings, educational materials, facility renovations and updates, and endowments for continuing care giver education.

Throughout its 31-year history, the Women’s Health Care Classic has raised more than $7 million for hospital programs in Wayne County.
