The West Side Bazaar, the Westminster Economic Development Initiative’s food and retail business incubator, will hold an open house Tuesday for potential entrepreneurs who may need help getting started in business and might consider opening a location at one of the bazaar’s empty spaces. WEDI’s Business Incubation team, as well as several local business support organizations, will be in attendance to answer questions, talk about the application process and share the benefits of opening a business in the bazaar – including low startup costs and below-market rental rates. The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the bazaar, 1432 Niagara St. Tickets, available on EventBrite.com, are free.

Niagara’s Worksource One will host a job fair from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Oppenheim County Park, 2713 Niagara Falls Blvd. in the Town of Wheatfield. More than 70 businesses are scheduled to participate. The event is weather permitting; the rain date is June 12.

Five Star Bank‘s parent company, Financial Institutions, on Wednesday will hold its annual shareholders meeting, in a virtual format.

The Town of Hamburg Planning Board will hold a public hearing Wednesday for a proposal to construct a 4,075-square-foot addition to the existing Lakeshore Medical Complex, at 5844 Southwestern Blvd.

The second in a series of community town halls across Western New York addressing the effort to bring professional soccer to Buffalo will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Wayland Brewing Company, 3740 N. Buffalo St., Orchard Park. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with soccer executive Peter Marlette Jr., and learn more about Buffalo Pro Soccer’s vision for a USL Championship club in Buffalo in 2026. The first 30 fans to arrive will receive a Buffalo Pro Soccer scarf, and the organization will be buying attendees’ first drink.

In Grand Island, the Planning Board on June 10 will review a proposal by Starline USA Inc. for construction of a 35,000-square-foot addition on the northwest corner of its existing facility at 3036 Alt Blvd. Designed by Sutton Architecture and Carmina Wood Design, the warehouse and storage addition would include truck docks on the east side and would be located on a 2.1-acre landscaped and grassy area that is part of the larger 14.75-acre site. The board will also consider a plan by Gary R. Ebersole to convert the former Care-a-lot day care building at 2880 Grand Island Blvd. to mixed-use, with a first-floor office or other commercial business and three apartments on the second floor. The 1.4-acre site is located near a nursing home and dental office.
