MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –
As part of Mental Awareness Month, Weems Community Mental Health Center is hosting a Mental Health Awareness Fair next week.
The event will take place Tuesday, May 14th at Dumont Plaza in downtown Meridian and will feature 12 organizations offering free services. The public is invited to this event, which takes place from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
“It’s important for Weems to involve our entire mental health community,” said Krilecia Gianakos of Weems. “It’s not just about us but about all the partnerships. We have many resources that a lot of members of the Meridian community and surrounding counties are not aware of.
“We are hoping that this event at Dumont will provide those resources and give our community more information as to what they have at their fingertips to utilize.”
