WATCH: NAMI launches campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month

PENSACOLA, Fla. — One in five adults in the U.S. Experience mental illness each year.

And one in six youth, ages six to 17, experience a mental health disorder.

NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is launching a new campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month. It’s called “Take the Moment.”

It’s a reminder that we all deserve a moment to refocus, recharge and take care of our mental health.

Dr. Twanna House, program coordinator for NAMI Emerald Coast spoke with WEAR News on Friday about the resources available in our area.
