UKAF men have lost a high-scoring T20 friendly match to Middleton CC in Sussex by 16 runs.

The home side won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 192-4 in their 20 overs, bolstered by 65 not out from wicketkeeper Mason Robinson (an innings that included seven fours and two sixes in 49 balls) and 59 not out from James Barker, off just 31 balls.

The UK Armed Forces side were generally expensive with the ball, with Ross Dearden the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed 2/25 in three overs. R Burden and Jay Boynton picked up a wicket apiece.

In response, the military team found themselves 52-3 before Liam Fletcher (38) and Adam Sutcliffe (40) put together a 61-run partnership.

The Sussex side kept chipping away, though, despite cameos from Oskar Kolk (25) and skipper Jay Boynton (22 not out), to limit their opponents to 176/7 and win the match by 16 runs.
