U of M Health-Sparrow apprentices receive their pins

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Graduates from the University of Health-Sparrow apprenticeship program received their pins on Wednesday.

Receiving their pins signifies the next step in their professional journey.

“It’s a great opportunity for students for the local community people to be able to train, make a wage, and then have a certificate after 24 weeks to become a medical assistant and then they can continue on in their health care education or stay on, you know, a lot of people love the medical assistant position.“

U of M Health-Sparrow launched its apprenticeship program to give people in the community a fast track to the industry.
