WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – New Hanover County Veteran Services will open at the Health and Human Services building at 1650 Greenfield Street effective Monday, July 1.

“In-person assistance at the current offices inside the Health and Human Services Annex at 1507 Greenfield Street will continue until noon on Thursday, June 27. At that time, Veteran Services will close for the remainder of the day and all day on Friday, June 28 to relocate,” a county announcement states.

The office will provide limited over-the-phone assistance during this time, and in-person assistance will resume at the HHS building on July 1.

“Our goal is to offer the best support and assistance to those who served our country in the Armed Services as well as their eligible family members by connecting them with the resources available to them,” said Director of Veteran Services Betsy Graham. “We’re excited to work with those who need our help at our new offices inside the Health and Human Services building starting in July.”
