BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Med Center Health has finalized its acquisition of Logan Memorial Hospital, officially opening The Medical Center at Russellville.
The Medical Center at Russellville is a 75-bed acute care hospital. Med Center Health said the facility serves a population of approximately 45,000.

The facility is the healthcare provider’s seventh hospital in the region, according to a news release.
Med Center Health also operates hospitals in Scottsville, Franklin, Horse Cave and Albany.

The Logan County acquisition also includes three medical office buildings on the main campus as well as rural health clinics located in Russellville, Auburn and Elkton.
Med Center Health said the Russellville location will have six ICU/CCU beds and 10 swing beds.
Several services, including an around-the-clock emergency department, operating rooms and endoscopy suites, are in operation. Specialist services, such as urology and pediatrics, are also available.
Med Center Health is a not-for-profit healthcare system and has more than 3,500 employees and 150 employed providers.
