Yesterday, the Met Office said central London could see a peak of 30C during the week, with temperatures in the high 20s across south-east England.
A Met Office expert, Dan Rudman, said: “Some central and southern areas are likely to see temperatures approaching the values needed for heatwave conditions.”
The temperatures will potentially reach up to 32C by Thursday, and carry being sunny into the weekend.
