Kids learn about health with their teddy bears at the Teddy Bear Health Fair

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Kids and families got the chance to partake in the Teddy Bear Health Fair on Saturday.

This event is designed for kids and parents to learn about health and nutrition while using there teddy bears or stuffed animals.

“I think sometimes it’s a little hard to think about yourself. But kids naturally are protective of you know, they’re teddy bear or whatever their stuffed animal is and by taking care of that animal and thinking about that stuff to animal,” said Aron Sosua the Dean of College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. “They learn things that are then useful for their own health. So it’s just a great way a safe way a non frightening way for them to learn a little bit about about health.”

This event has been around for over a decade and and is held in several place including East Lansing, Lansing, Flint, and Grand Rapids.
