Must read

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) – Students entering middle or high school in the fall have six opportunities to get caught up on their vaccines over the summer.

The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) is hosting the clinics to help parents ensure their kids’ mandatory vaccines are up to date as they enter 7th and 11th grade. The vaccines available are Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), Hepatitis A, Meningitis and HPV.

In a release, JCDHE said Spanish speakers will be available at the clinic, and “no one will be turned away for inability to pay.”

Clinic Dates and Locations:

“We make it quick and easy for students to catch up on vaccinations, so they avoid missing school days and extracurricular activities,” JCHDE said.

Parents must accompany their children and bring the student’s proof of insurance and vaccination record (if possible). It is encouraged to fill out clinic paperwork ahead of time. The paperwork form and more information on the clinic can be found here.
