A COUPLE told how they stumbled across the “Maldives of the UK” while on holiday in Scotland – and said it felt like “heaven”.
Travel duo Chris and Sam found the hidden gem by accident while on a hiking holiday in Scotland.

The couple regularly documents their incredible journies and adventures on their YouTube channel.
And in a recent episode, they said they fell in love with a beach tucked away on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
While they didn’t share the exact location, they said it was a “proper pinch me moment” when they found it.
The stunning beach has gorgeous powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters that could easily rival Caribbean coastlines.
Describing the moment they spotted it, Sam said they were on another beach and were getting ready to finish up for the day.
She said: “I was just on the beach, we were just about to leave.

“I sent the drone up to get some drone shots of this beach and I saw another incredible stunning spot on the other side of this mountain…
“So I’m taking Chris and Fletcher on a little bit of an adventure to see if we can get there because it looks insane.”
To get to the beach, the couple had to make their way through a trek covered in mud and a huge climb over hills.
But it was worth it to see the view on the other side.
Sam added: “Doesn’t it look like the Maldives?”.
“I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven.
“Honestly, it’s insane and that water is way too good to not go in for a swim.”
They captioned the YouTube video: “Is this really Scotland? Proper pinch-me moment when we came across a hidden gem on the Isle of Harris… Come along with us as we fall in love with this island in the Outer Hebrides.”
Viewers flocked to the comments on the video as they gushed over the stunning location.
One person said: “Wow. Such a great video and what a place!!”
Another added: “Oh wow! What an absolutely amazing journey! These videos are helping convince my husband that we need to, firstly buy a van and secondly visit Scotland!”
Someone else wrote: “Am I going mad? I thought you guys had left Scotland and were at The lake District, or have I been dreaming? Spectacular scenery as always, that’s why Scotland is so worth visiting.”

Where is the Isle of Harris?
THE Isle of Harris is the biggest island in the Outer Hebrides, or Western Isles, Scotland, famed for its dramatic landscapes, stunning beaches and its own cloth, Harris Tweed.
Harris is part of the South Lewis, Harris and North Uist National Scenic Area, on of 40 in Scotland defined to identify regions of exceptional scenery.
The isle divides into northern and southern parts, separated by West and East Loch Tarbet.
Tarbet, the main community on the island, can be reached by taking the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Skye to Harris.
The northern part of the island is called Lewis, though both are frequently referred to as is they were separate islands.
And the shared boundary between Harris and Lewis is where the island narrows between Loch Resort on the west and Loch Seaforth on the east.
