INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is urging you to not buy, eat, sell, or serve Diamond Shruumz brand chocolate bars, cones, or gummies after they were recalled by the manufacturer.
Officials with the Indiana Department of Health say they’re investigating reports of severe illnesses potentially associated with consuming the Diamond Shruumz products.
So far, there have been 39 total illnesses reported nationwide with 23 hospitalizations, including three confirmed cases in Indiana. No deaths have been reported.
People who became ill from eating Diamond Shruumz brand products have reported the following severe symptoms:
- Seizures
- Loss of consciousness
- Confusion
- Sleepiness
- Agitation
- Abnormal heart rates
- Changes in blood pressure
- Nausea
- Vomiting
If you become ill after consuming these products, you should seek medical treatment and call the Indiana Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222 to report symptoms and seek information.
