We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and commercially savvy editorial content producer to lead the development of our prestigious B2B media portfolio.

About the role: This portfolio includes a print magazine, a comprehensive digital presence (website, newsletter, social media) and potentially conferences. It is a cornerstone of our commitment to inform and connect professionals within our industry.

This role is predominantly office based, please only apply if you are able to attend our Chester office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Industry expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the industry, staying current with trends, regulatory changes, and key issues impacting stakeholders.
  • Content generation: Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality written, audio and visual content for the website, magazine, and newsletter. This includes news, features, interviews, and opinion pieces.
  • Contributor management: Recruit, manage, and nurture relationships with freelance writers, industry experts, and other content contributors.
  • Public representation: Serve as the public face of the portfolio, representing it at industry events, to clients, associations, and the broader community.
  • Digital and print co-ordination: Ensure the website is regularly updated with relevant information and manage the production of four print magazine issues per year.
  • Commercial collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to drive the commercial success of the portfolio, identifying new revenue opportunities and ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Event leadership: Plan and execute webinars and other virtual events, sometimes generating content and frequently chairing sessions.
  • Podcast hosting: Host and co-host the portfolio’s podcast series, collaborating with editors of sister titles to produce engaging audio content.
  • Community building: Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage the portfolio’s community, both online and offline.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an editorial role, ideally within a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate impactful content across multiple platforms.
  • Strong network within the industry, with a track record of building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to content development and audience engagement.
