Cricket round-up: Crowthorne & Crown Wood open season with win

BCMB Championship

CROWTHORNE & CROWN WOOD opened their account for the season with a 74-run triumph at Great Kingshill.

The Crows batted first and scored 170 before they were bowled all out as Daniel Cartledge top scored with 65.

Crows then had Kingshill all out on 96 as bowler Oliver Taylor captured five wickets.

SHINFIELD kicked off their campaign with an away victory against Mortimer West End.

Noel Joseph took four wickets to have Mortimer all out for 189 before Shinfield took the win with six wickets to spare with 48 each from Naveed Naseer and Amit Rawal.

BCL Premier Division

FARLEY HILL got the better of CROWTHORNE & CROWN WOOD 2s with a two wicket triumph.

The Crows totalled 124 in the first innings before Farley surpassed that with two wickets left to take the win.

BCL Division 1

HURST opened their season with a 40-run success against Outlaws.

Hurst scored 138 and then bowled Outlaws all out for 98 with four wickets from Harsha Shastry.

BCL Division 2

WOODLEY started with a win as they defeated EARLEY 2s by five wickets.

Four wickets from Siva Ramakrishna Doddi saw Woodley have Earley all out for 143 and Woodley then got past that target thanks to a top score of 67 not out from Subhakanta Biswal.

WEST READING earned an impressive 119-run win against FARLEY HILL 2s.

Mandeep Singh top scored with 52 for West Reading as they totalled 241.

Singh then collected four wickets to see Farley all out for 122.

TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE won on the opening weekend with a two-wicket triumph over Outlaws 2s.

Twyford got Outlaws all out for 165 and then earned victory after 39.4 overs.

BCL Division 3

CROWTHORNE & CROWN WOOD 3s lost out by 105 runs in their opening day game against Hampstead Norreys.
