Corbin officially welcomes new Grace Health campus

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) – Elected officials and officials with Grace Health came together on Friday to cut the ribbon at the Corbin campus.

Congressman Hal Rogers said the funding for the facility would not have been possible without the teamwork in the nation’s capital.

“We’ve learned that working together you get a lot more done than you try and go off by yourself. So this is the best example I can find of pulling together working toward a common cause,” said Congressman Rogers.

Also there to celebrate the new facility was Senate President Robert Stivers. He said he is optimistic on the economic effects to come.

“It just makes this area more attractive because when people or companies look to relocate be it for jobs or for retirement they want to know about the healthcare services so this is a model for why people from an economic development standpoint would say we’re interested in the Corbin area,” said Senator Stivers.

CEO of Grace Health Michael Stanley said the medical campus is a hub for a variety of medical services for patients.

“At this time we’re seeing people from at least six counties or more that are accessing the care. And what’s great is that we have a partnership with Baptist Health Corbin.”
