BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A community forum focused on mental health disorders and the local court system is set to take place in Warren County later this month.

The Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts invites community members, leaders, and stakeholders to attend the forum on July 29.

This event aims to improve connections between justice-involved individuals and community resources, particularly for those affected by mental health disorders and co-occurring substance use disorders, according to a flyer received by WBKO.

Participants in the forum will learn about the Mental Health Diversion program through the Department of Pretrial Services and the Mental Health Court through the Department of Specialty Courts.

These programs are designed to provide support and alternatives to traditional incarceration for eligible individuals.

Community members are encouraged to attend to gain a better understanding of local resources and how to collaborate with treatment facilities, counseling services, housing providers, and other support networks.

The forum will be held on July 29 from 2-4 p.m. at the Warren County Justice Center, located at 1001 Center St. in Bowling Green, in Courtroom C on the fourth floor.
