Left-arm spinner Lucy Blincoe took 4 for 44 on her full Kent Women debut, but the Horses were defeated by 125 runs at Chelmsford.

Essex won the Toss and chose to bat on a sunny morning in East Anglia, and put on 240 all out in their 48.1 overs with the bat – skipper Jessica Bird scored 43, Bella Howarth 39 and Katherine Speed 36 – all of whom were dismissed by the young Kent spinner Blincoe on her full debut.
The Horses made just 115 all out in reply – Anna Roche top scored in the lower-middle order with 38 from 58 balls, but only three other batters reached two figures.
