Amarillo Public Health Department completes updates to Amarillo Alerts

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The City of Amarillo Public Health Department has updated Amarillo Alerts to offer more emergency preparedness and health resources.

City officials say the website offers expanded resources to help the community prepare for and respond to emergencies, including natural disasters, industrial accidents and disease outbreaks. The website also offers detailed guides for emergency preparedness planning for Amarillo residents and businesses.

Amarillo Alerts sends out important alerts and information on public safety, inclement weather and health advisories. Residents in Potter and Randall counties can sign up for alerts here.

Along with the safety updates, city officials say the website has introduced health resources aimed at disease and outbreak preparation.

The website includes advice and strategies on staying healthy during respiratory season and provides guidance on preventative measures and community health guidelines.
